Cordiner Consulting was born of a passion to not only produce quality fire protection designs, but to ensure safer environments with each system we consult on. With three generations (and counting) of Cordiners in the fire protection industry, protecting lives and property has become deeply rooted in our blood.
In 2007, with the loss of 9 firefighters in Charleston, SC, Wayne Cordiner began a transition from firefighter to full-time fire protection professional with the single goal of protecting as many firefighters as possible. Since that transition and hundreds of system designs/installs later, Cordiner Consulting was founded and continues with this single mission in mind. We use each design as an opportunity to increase the survivability for occupants and responding personnel. With this mindset, Cordiner Consulting also offers not-for-profit training to fire service professionals.
We are committed to excellence in this field and take pride in providing exceptional service and quality.
From shipboard suppression in the U.S. Navy, to fire protection systems protecting national landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and the World Trade Center Memorial, Wayne's experience in the fire protection industry is all-encompassing.
As a former professional firefighter, he has a personal investment in this industry, having witnessed the importance of fire protection both from a property and loss of life standpoint. He is fortunate enough to have a natural intersection between his personal and professional passions, and believes in this work wholeheartedly.
Wayne is NICET certified in Waterbased Systems Layout (III), ITM of Waterbased Systems (II), Special Hazard Systems (I) and Fire Alarm Systems Layout (II). Additionally Wayne holds an Associate of Science degree in Fire Protection Technologies along with a Technical and Career Certificate each in Fire Protection Technologies.
